When we first played our hands on these instruments we were both shocked and thrilled! The look and finish is second to none and the playability and tone is a knock out presentation of 50's Tele tone with the ease of a modern instrument. The light weight ash body resonates and works magically with the 52 style Tele pickups. The U shape neck fits the hand wonderfully and adds a bit of warmth and sustain to the guitars overall output. And finally the lacquer finish really sets this apart, bringing a Custom Shop level build to the floor at a fraction of the cost! Needless to say we love these new instruments and can't encourage them enough.
The nitrocellulose lacquer finish not only lets the body breathe with its true tonal character, it also ages and wears in a distinctively personal way.
American Original instruments feature specially voiced pickups crafted to reproduce the authentic sound and performance of individual model years.
This Telecaster features a “U”-shaped neck profile for the substantial fret-hand feel typical of instruments from our original decade.
Original-era fans can rest assured every curve and line of the body and neck are accurate to the historic originals.
From the bridge to the string tree and tuning machines, every piece of hardware is just like the original.
This 9.5”-radius fingerboard is slightly flatter than a vintage-style 7.25” radius, providing a comfortable fret-hand feel. Vintage-tall frets make it easier to bend notes without fretting out.

An homage to the original prototype of this ground-breaking guitar,...
