Taylor 514ce Hand Selected Lutz Spruce Top with Mahogany Back and SIdes

Taylor 514ce Acoustic-electric Guitar Features:

  • This guitar was hand selected by Baxter personally and brought back to North Carolina to find a new home. The magic of the Lutz Spruce continually amazes us. There is a warmth to this spruce topped instrument that is uncommon to many of our Sitka Spruce topped guitars. And we absolutely love the way it interacts with the mahogany creating a very lush and organic sounding guitar. A hard hit chord compresses the way one would hope and the individual hit notes really bounce out of the instrument with a presence and warmth.
  • This guitar is not even offered in normal production and is a special build that really has a rare magic to it!
  • One of our favorite wood combinations and a hand selected piece to boot! This 514ce Lutz Spruce and Mahogany Grand Auditorium is a spectacular instrument. The tone is balanced and there is a sparkle to this instrument that we found matched perfectly with the human voice. If you are looking for an instrument to accompany any vocals this may be the perfect guitar! When we saw this particular 514ce and played her there was not a moments hesitation to bring her back from California with us.
